The McRae Family has always demonstrated a dedication to the community. The Richard D. McRae Jr. Family Foundation is committed to making the communities in which we live and work a better place for everyone.
Today the Foundation is managed by trustees David M. McRae and Richard D. McRae III. Since its inception in 1994, the Richard D. McRae Jr. Family Foundation has donated to over 100 organizations.
As result of business and family successes, Selby & Richard McRae felt their abundant blessings should be shared. In 1965, they created the Selby & Richard McRae Foundation to support philanthropic efforts in the areas of education, cultural, religious, health, and social causes. In addition to the Foundation, Selby & Richard McRae gave significant personal gifts throughout their lives to causes they deemed important.
Today the Foundation managed by the children of Selby and Richard McRae. - Richard D. McRae, Jr., Susan McRae Shanor, and Vaughan W. McRae. Since its inception, the Selby & Richard McRae Foundation has donated over $35 million in charitable gifts and given to over 500 organizations.
